Books and Big Ideas Storytimes are lots of fun and very interactive!

Saturdays at 12:00 p.m. A reading and discussion group for ages 6-10.

We hope you will join the fun on Zoom! It is okay to take part via audio and video or audio only.

Each week, a facilitator will read aloud from an old or new classic of children’s literature then, in an age-appropriate way, we will discuss the big ideas raised by the reading. It’s a book group of your child’s very own!

Discussions are based in the Philosophy for Children (or P4C) method. Discussing big ideas at an early age has been demonstrated to have social, emotional, cognitive, and academic benefits. It’s also a lot of fun!

Grey Havens Philosophy is a Philosophy for Children and Communities (P4C) nonprofit based in Longmont, Colorado. P4C helps kids do better in school, make better decisions for themselves, and prepares them to participate in democracy. For more information, visit

Register here for free then we will send you details about how to join in. (This helps us safeguard your privacy and well-being online.)

Funded in part by the Philosophy Learning and Teaching Organization (PLATO) and the Longmont Community Foundation.
