Elisha Conant
Board President
Elisha Conant has been a member of the Grey Havens Group since 2012. She has been active in many aspects of the non-profit association, from participation in community events to the organization of key Grey Havens literacy activities.
Ivona Elenton
Board Member and Facilitator
Ivona has been with Grey Havens from the beginning and tries to be of service wherever there is a need for her to pitch in. She works in GH children’s camps as well as facilitating and co-facilitating, mainly with film and philosophy and fandom and philosophy discussions.
David Coile
Facilitator
Dave was one of those annoying kids that kept asking “Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?” Only he continued doing it well past puberty, going on to earn himself a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and these days as a facilitator for Grey Havens programs.
Deany Goode
Lead Facilitator
Deany Goode is Grey Havens Philosophy's Lead Facilitator. Deany has a bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Missouri - Kansas City in Missouri, and a master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. She teaches English as a Second Language for Academic Purposes to immigrants, refugees, and international students at urban community colleges.
Nate Love
Facilitator
Nate studied philosophy at multiple educational institutions, including Hunter College, the Dominican School of Philosophy & Theology, UC Berkeley, the School of Practical Philosophy, and Stanford University under professors John Perry and Ken Taylor, hosts of the public radio talk show “Philosophy Talk.”
Kelly Cowling
Founder and Executive Director
Kelly Cowling is the founder and Executive Director of Grey Havens Philosophy. She studied Philosophy for Children in the Analytic Teaching program at Texas Wesleyan University in the early 1990s. She has a master’s degree in Religious Studies from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado.
Avynne Trembly
Technology Lead
Avynne is the Grey Havens Philosophy Technology Lead. Avynne is a proud alumni of Grey Havens YA and founding member of the Prefects book group. Avynne has a Bachelor’s degree in both Computer Science and Music from Central College in Pella, Iowa.
Robyn Bosica
Young Adult Program Lead
Robyn Bosica is Grey Havens Philosophy’s Young Adult Program Lead. She has been working with young adults in community events, theater programs, and service trips since 2008. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Writing from Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland.
