Canceled – Words, Music, & Philosophy – Online

Explore the history and meaning of protest songs from the past and the present. Each week we will listen to at least one song from a previous decade and one from today followed by a lively discussion. 6 PM – 7:30 PM (Mountain Time, North America). More information below.

We’ll start on October 5 with “Strange Fruit” by Billie Holiday, Backlash Blues by Nina Simone, and “This Land” by Gary Clark, Jr. We’ll take your suggestions after that and post the songs each week.
