The Marvelous Minstrels

We know that Frodo is recovering his health in Rivendell when he awakens and thinks not only of what a Hobbit would think – of food and drink – but also of “singing and story-telling afterwards.”  It is no wonder that International Tolkien Reading Day is a special holiday for fans of Middle-earth; and it is a marvelous pleasure that the celebrations of the Grey Havens Group in 2012 and 2013 have featured both storytelling and live music. The photos below (Sunday, March 24, 2013) are full of the magic of this music, courtesy of the Grey Havens Minstrels.
